When I first heard the song "Maine dil se kaha dhund lana khusi" from the hindi movie "rog" I first saw an actor who was an absolute fit for the expression required in the lyrics. The second instant I remember of reading the novel "namesake" Of jhumpa lihari while waiting in railway station and later watching the soulful acting of the same actor as an Indian academician in USA and tabbu (another classic actress) in a perfect recreation of the novel. Pan Singh tomar was another master piece where the protagonist played by the same actor picks up gun for justice in the infamous chambal area of Madhya Pradesh. It was another bibliographic movie which the actor gave the full justice. My mother's favorite Shakespeare novel (Macbeth) aptly recreated in silver screen by the same actor. In the movie "mighty heart" which is a recreation of novel of same name, the actor plays a honest, no-nonsense Pakistani police officer in charge of investigation of the kidnapping of Daniel Pearl. May it be the scene in the lunch box movie where the actor eats banana to get rid of the spice, or any other scene from any of his classic movie such as "Haasil", he was a master of his art and was in his own league. His work will be treated as the milestone in Indian film industry and the younger actors should learn the art of mesmerizing the audience by pure acting from him. These are my vivid memories of the legend "irrfan khan". He created a parallel fan base for himself based on his work and pure acting. As Irrfan khan breathed his last and proceeded to the heavenly Adobe.. I pay my humble homage to the legend. You will be remembered by your work sir.. A life well lived.. Hope you find solitude where ever you are. My homage..
