Happy Birthday Saheed Bhagat Singh. In a short span of 23 years you have created a name for yourself which people requires a minimum half a century to build. You stood against the might of British Empire and the British Empire at some point of time was sweating due to your charismatic nature and fan following. You were hanged to death on 23rd March 1931 in Lahore Conspiracy case. Though your teaching and sacrifice has largely been forgotten by the younger generation, your contribution towards the Indian independence is commendable. Hope you show a brighter path of wisdom to the current generation.

Happy Birthday to Bharat Ratna Lataji. Today is your 88th Birthday. The number 88 is just a number as your melodious voice does the entire talking. Your first recorded song was way back in 1942 and the last recorded song was in 2015, so its 73 years of playback singing. It is estimated that you gave your voices to 25000 songs in 7 decades which is no mean a world record of sorts. Not only Lataji, the entire Mangeskar family have proved their mettle in playback singing. Many current star singers of Hindi film industry call her the Maa saraswati (the goddess of vidya in Hindu mythology) of Hindi film music. You gave voices to four generation of ladies of Indian cinema. Your songs create a mystical atmosphere and ignite the soul and mind of whom so ever listening to it. People recognised you with the song "Aygea Anewala (Film: Mahal, (1949)). There are so many classics songs of yours (both film music and album music) that I can listen to it day in and day out. A die-hard fan of many of your songs and giving you my respect with one of your song “Rahe na rahe hum, mahaka karegnge, ban ke kali, ban ke shama, bage bafa main..” (Mamta, 1966)
